Prevention & Pre-Marital

Before you get married, find harmony about communication, new beginnings, and how you want to weather storms together.

Life Transitions

Challenges come with change. Whether you're facing eldercare, relocation, death, or any other transitions, healthy communication is imperative.

WHAT IS RESTORATIVE MEDIATION?

A restorative circle process is a style of conversation where people can come together to discuss and resolve conflicts, challenges or plan for the future.  They can be used both reactively and proactively.  The process is meant to establish a space where everyone feels safe to take turns sharing their perspectives honestly, and to find resolutions that benefit everyone.

It's when we feel heard that we can begin to heal.

Prevention & Mediation

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a reality check we may or may not have expected!  What is your foundation made of?  Let’s go upstream from challenges and conflict that may arise in your new season of life.

Join in discussions before you get married about communication, new beginnings, and how you want to weather storms together.

Schools & Youth

Let the teachers be teachers, the social workers be social workers, and the SRO be an SRO.  Let me have a conversation and make a plan.  Often a student will see school faculty as just another authority figure with more rules and discipline.

I’m just a mom who went through school too.  I can be the buffer between faculty and students and their families.

Great for resolutions in:

  • Student Friendships

  • Staff and Student Relationships

  • Attendance Hardships

  • Classroom Behavior and Restorative Discipline

  • Home Hardships

  • Family Unit Support

Sometimes there are loose ends after your divorce is finalized, or there are changes that arise.  And oftentimes mediation is a prerequisite before having a hearing.

You don’t always need family court to decide what’s best for you.  Let’s try to find an agreement that works for you, at a reasonable price.

Parent – Child

Watching your child grow and become independent is equal parts exciting, terrifying and challenging.  Does it feel like you and your child speak a different language?  Are you an adult child moving back in with a parent? Do you wish you weren’t feeling disconnected or estranged from your child or parent?

I would love to help you open up safe lines of communication and allow you each to feel heard and find some understanding.

Communities of Faith

A common place to see the Circle Process or talking circles in practice is during small group gatherings in communities of faith.  Divisions today are becoming increasingly deep and wide.  This isn’t the type of love we have been called to demonstrate.  In the doubt that arises in these divisions, it is important to invite each other to the table.

Restorative circles in communities of faith can be beneficial for:

  • Small group discussions

  • Marriage and Divorce within the church body

  • Congregational Concerns and/or conflict

  • Church Council or Elder discussion and/or resolution

  • Congregational support and outreach

  • Pre-marital discussions and preparations

Life Transitions

Big life transitions are a part of the human experience.  We don’t always know for certain what’s in store for us, and this is why good communication is essential with our loved ones.

I can help you work through the challenges that can come with change, like:

  • New Relationship

  • Moving in with a loved one

  • Blending households/families

  • Marriage or Remarriage

  • Pregnancy and new parents

  • Couples conflict resolution

  • Relationship Discernment

  • Separation or Reconciliation

  • Death or Grief

  • Eldercare Discussions
